Photography is my way of processing the world – of trying to make sense of the chaos, of capturing the light, and of finding the absolute beauty in the everyday. I like to slow it down and take the time to really see, to focus, and I can do that best with my camera. There is satisfaction in organizing shapes into a square frame, and discovering how altering that composition even slightly can shift the perspective and reveal a different story. Photography is an exercise in flexibility, you must have a willingness to let go of pre-conceived ideas, and allow yourself to be present in the moment – whatever that moment brings.
I live in Brooklyn with my husband David, our 12-year old daughter, Olivia and our dog Cowboy.
